SOUL HEALTH CXXIX
The Month of Mary
In the Catholic Church, the month of May is dedicated to Mother Mary. Discover How to Celebrate Our Blessed Mother This Month with Father Mark-Mary of the Franciscan Friars of Renewal.
From the Cross, Jesus himself gave Mary and her motherhood as a gift to the Church. He entrusted us to her maternal protection and love, and her to our filial honor right before his death:
When Jesus saw his mother and the disciple whom he loved standing beside her, he said to his mother, “Woman, here is your son.”
Then he said to the disciple, “Here is your mother.” And from that hour the disciple took her into his own home.
John 19:26-27
In the Blessed Mother we have the greatest example of faith, hope, and love to follow as we journey towards Heaven.
Holy Mary, our hope and handmaid of the Lord, pray for us!
